HOKIYATO
At first, Hokiyato felt hard to connect with — its Eastern character wasn't easy to grasp. But as I worked with it, something quietly revealed itself: softness, purity, and calm. I brought these qualities into the logo through clean forms and bright tones. Hokiyato is no longer just a name — it has its own identity, rooted in a gentle Eastern spirit.

Bringing eastern aesthetics to life, with Sakura Blossom
LOGO DESIGN
In the logo design, I decided to use a simplified symbol of the cherry blossom as a representation of Japan and the East. Cherry blossoms are a symbol of natural beauty and wonder, conveying both delicacy and a sense of awe. This symbol not only reflects the rich culture and history of Japan, but also, alongside other elements, brings a sense of softness and cleanliness to the design. Using this symbol allowed me to maintain the unique Eastern aesthetic in the design while adding a touch of brilliance and freshness to the brand.

LOGOTYPE DESIGN
To enhance the logotype, the first “O” was replaced with the brand’s custom flower symbol, highlighting its elegance and Eastern inspiration while creating a visual link between the mark and the name. In contrast, the final “O” remained simple and minimal to preserve balance, clarity, and professionalism. This subtle contrast between detail and simplicity gave the logo a refined and distinctive character.

COLORS
When it came to choosing colors, one thing I really cared about was keeping the logo design free from being tied to any specific color. Since this product is going to be launched in multiple scents, I didn’t want the logo to be limited or defined by just one color on the packaging. Instead, I wanted each package to have the freedom to reflect its own personality, through its own colors and design, based on the fragrance it represents. That said, for the overall brand identity, I took inspiration from the Sakura blossom, just like in the logo symbol. The colors are soft, lively, and delicate—capturing the same freshness and gentle femininity that the brand stands for.

PACKAGES
DESIGN

This packaging has been crafted with a modern and minimal design language to ensure your product not only stands out on the shelf but also stays memorable in the customer’s mind. The use of soft gradient colors and crystal-like elements such as the glassy lemon and sakura flower visually convey purity, clarity, and high quality—instantly giving the consumer a sense of premium care. This visual identity sets your brand apart from the cluttered, cliché designs in the market and makes the difference obvious at first glance.
